Airdrie Harriers compete over 3 matches and a final during the winter at the Emirates arena in Glasgow in the Scottish Athletics Indoor League.(SAIL)

During the summer months they compete in Central&South Scotland Athletics League(CSSAL) over 3 matches.

Also during the summer there is the opportunity for members of Airdrie to be selected for Team NL where they would compete in the Young Athletes League or U17 Team challenge alongside athletes from Cumbernauld AAC and Motherwell AC.

At the end of the summer season , usually in August , Airdrie Harriers host their Annual Club Championships at their home track at Coatbridge. Athletes compete in 4 events, 100m, 800m, Shot putt and Long Jump.

Throughout the winter Airdrie Harriers Junior members can participate in a variety of cross country competitions, where points are accumulated as part of the the Annual Cross Country Club Championships.

Over a longer period during the winter, senior and masters athletes compete in their own Annual winter Championships incorporating a variety of cross country and road running events.

In addition to Club competition all athletes are encouraged to compete throughout the year in a variety of events. There is the opportunity to compete in National competition both indoor and outdoor during the year and to compete in district championships during the summer. There is also a number of open graded meetings in which members can participate, at venues such as Grangemouth & Ravenscraig during the winter, and during the summer at Livingston & Wishaw.

Of Course all competition comes with it's own set of rules, and full details can usually be found in the event information on the Scottish athletics website.
